NETWERKPRO
Netwerkpro foundation was founded in 2015. Our aim is to establish sustainable connections between local municipalities, employers, residents and other beneficiaries. With this we contribute to social cohesion and successful integration of migrants, supporting them to build a strong network, while at the same time creating and utilizing economic opportunities. Since 2015 we have guided over 1500 women towards participation and/or work.
We offer training programs that are built on empowerment training, matching with a personal mentor and working experience internships – with the prospect of a paid job or entrepreneurial activities. Our empowerment training, always given in groups, focuses on soft skills, goals and qualities at the start and develops into a professional skills training after. Many ex-participants become ambassadors for Netwerkpro: they coordinate groups, act as role models or become personal mentors. We work closely together with local employers and together we design trajectories where women can learn specific professional skills in the last phase of the program. Our partnering employers work in branches with a lot of opportunities and a continuous need for new employees, like health- and childcare, retail and the service industry.

FMDO FMDO (Federation for Global and Democratic Organizations) connects and empowers people in the diverse society of today and tomorrow. We do this with socio-cultural associations of people with a migration background and passionate volunteers who are the heart of FMDO. We focus on innovative initiatives that strengthen the social participation of people with a migrant background in the public debate. We carry out this mission by means of an educational operation together with volunteers and self-help organizations and on the other hand we carry it out with projects in various cities in Flanders and Brussels.
